Pasquin, Johi. Jungle 2 Jungle. Walt Disney Studios, 1997. PG. DVD. 105 min. ASIN B000068QPM

Michael Cromwell, a New York broker, has been separated from his wife, Dr. Patricia Cromwell, who has been living in the jungle for several years. Now, he wants to marry his new girlfriend,Charlotte, but he has to divorce Patricia first. So he has to go deep into the jungles of Venezuela to get the papers for his divorce signed. Michael reluctantly brings him along, and a culture clash follows. The boy has spent all of his life with a jungle tribe and does not know anything about city life. Michael has never been a father before so he does not know what to do but besides that his life is also in danger.

Critical Evaluation

City and jungle life crash into New York leading to mayhem and hilarious situations. This movie brings father and son relationships into the topic. The boy has always grown up with his mother but has never had a real father figure. He is now twelve years old and needs that figure to help him with his life. The culture clash is what makes this movie enjoyable because of the many different foods, building, and people that Mimi-Siku encounters in New York.
